I realize this is not Obama related at all. But I figured many of you would be interested to see photos of the recent fire which completely gutted the Nakumatt in DownTown Nairobi and with the growing number of bodies piling up, has left many missing now found deceased.

As one American in Kenya put it to us other Americans ‘Guys, we did it!’. She was wearing a traditional Kenyan scarf and 3 Obama pins. I think she’s a fan of Obama. (Being sarcastic there).

Video of the Kenyan response to Obama’s inauguration coming soon! The loudest applause of the evening came when, during Obama’s speech, he mentioned the birth place of his father.

The song I heard in the bus was not Kenyan. I did recognize it as reggae style, but it was in fact a Jamaican. AllAfrica.com helped me out a bit. None other than internationally renowned Jamaican reggae singer, Cocoa Tea. Watch the music video below…
